Welcome to the website for the Game Critics Awards, an independent group of journalists from 36 leading North American media outlets that cover the videogame industry.

Starting in 2008 the Game Critics conducted a critics poll for the Game of the Year 2007 to recognize outstanding titles released during the previous calendar year.  The full list of the top 10 winners is now available.  BioShock was named Game Of the Year for 2007.

Each year the Game Critics Awards also present its Best of E3 awards. These awards recognize the games that will shape the future of interactive entertainment, as demonstrated via hands-on playable form at the E3 Media and Business Summit in Los Angeles, CA.  Details on the 2008 awards will be announced in the 2nd quarter of 2008.  The list of 2007 winners is available here.
